One of my recent projects Is Called "Ohne Sinn" and is an experimental film, which was created by directly drawing on or scratching into 16 mm film stock. Similar to 2D animation I had to draw the objects frame by frame in order to get them moving. What is challenging about this method is firstly the size of the frames, secondly the time intensity and lastly that you can only view it after you are completely done. But with all the challenges it was even more rewarding to watch the finished project: The film takes you on a journey of coloured spheres and morphing objects. My idea, while making the film, was to show the basic elements (fire, water, earth, air) morphing into one another. In retrospect I would say that this project solidified my interest in animation and showed me that I can invest a lot of time and heart into something in order to get a satisfying result.
